While Breidablik may not be the biggest or pointiest peak in this range, it is certainly one of the most captivating peaks I’ve ever seen. The shape of the weeping glacier makes it seem to be almost ringing the prominent spire of the mountain, though it is more of an optical illusion. In fact, our group stared at this thing for ages and debated the actual structure of it. It wasn’t until we could get some 3d renderings that we could see what was actually going on. Regardless, The shape of this peak and its interaction with the glacier makes it one of my favourite peaks anywhere. Add in some great sunset light, and this peak really speaks to me.
