You could tell early on there was going to get some great colour on this morning, but as I was shimmying along some wet rocks on route to this vantage point I noticed that those wet rocks were starting to shine bright red – time to hurry up. As soon as I determined that it was time to hurry, I fell flat of my face. I did manage to get to this spot just in time and I did capture a few images at peak sunrise. I really wanted to shoot this spot at sunrise because of those lovely cracks in the rock below the water.
I’m a big believer that if you go to these places often enough, eventually something special will happen. For me, this was one of those sunrises. The kind of morning every landscape photographer dreams of!
