The Niagara Escarpment is an interesting feature that can be seen throughout much of Southern Ontario. What many don’t realize, is in many spaces this escarpment breaks and opens to reveal sometimes very narrow canyons, not unlike slot canyons. Many of these little canyons can be extremely picturesque as they tend to trap moisture, creating wonderful little spots for moss and ferns to thrive. This particular little crack in the wall is not exactly for those with claustrophobia – it’s about shoulder width from one wall to the other!
