The seas of ferns near small rivers near my home in Guelph are a pleasure to explore and investigate. So many of these cedar trees hold a tremendous amount of character, and obstruct almost all the light from reaching the forest floor. In my opinion, those little gaps in the canopy can make the light seem almost magical.
