Here’s the view from Glissade pass in Tombstone Territorial Park. I’ve walked right past this view several times before, and never photographed it. In 2021 I was determined to capture it. Usually I’m too tired to take photos here as this view comes after a pretty steep climb and it often feels like you’re almost at your next destination. Usually I just want to finish the hike. In fact, if you look at the bottom of the image you’ll see a squiggly black line zigzagging downward – this is actually the hiking path. Extra extra steep.
Well, I’m glad I took my time this year, because as I looked down this view, the light on the valley continued to change, improving the scene. What a great spot.
