Almost all of my images from Tombstone come from a small number of places along an outstanding hike, however the park does have a number of other spots to see beyond the crazy and massive jagged peaks. The park goes from these vertical peaks to almost plains where from the right vantage point you can see for what seems to be ages. This year, I made sure to try at least one hike that wasn’t the well-known one.
These images were from a relatively easy hike which my friend and I did when we first arrived in Tombstone. The vantage points along this hike were really something. You could get up onto these spires and almost feel like you’re flying – it gave a completely unobstructed view of a really dynamic landscape. I couldn’t get over the changes in textures and patterns through the landscape, with some passing clouds, rain, and sunny spots really making the scene change by the minute.
